a few questions about the ipod touch 3g?

1. does the ipod 3g allow you to take quick notes without having to use your computer itunes?
2. is the ipod alarm clock as good as a regular alarm clock, do you need to buy an extra device for the alarm?
3. is the voice recorder as good as a regular voice recorder?
4. does the ipod touch let you update the calendar without having to use you computer?
