Crazy driving incident? ?
Crazy driving incident? ?
This is a really bizarre question. My fiancée and I were just driving home from dinner and this car full of people is (illegally) passing in the turning lane, toward oncoming traffic, etc going about 45 over the speed limit. My fiancée tends to be a defensive driver, so he flashed his lights to let her know to calm down. So she stops and gets out of the car, I tell him to keep driving. She runs to our window and he rolls the window down, telling her she’s going to cause an accident and that you can’t drive like that, etc. She starts screaming, explaining her child is having an emergency. We tell her we’ll call 911 for her, since she’s headed into our city where there’s no hospitals. She’s already passed the hospital and is headed in the wrong direction for said emergency. She calls me a crazy b*tch and gets back in her car, proceeds to reverse and try to hit us, fiancée drives around her and she begins to play some chicken/cutting off/driving game. She didn’t have emergency lights on, was flipping us off. I didn’t want to get involved, like I said, it was my fiancée. But I’m sitting here feeling awful if there truly was an emergency. Do you think she was just BSing us?
Her car was from a dealer in the city where the hospital is so clearly she knew there was no hospital where she was headed. Second of all, I find it odd that if was such an emergency she wouldn’t call an ambulance and had time to stop and confront us, then play a road rage game. Also, why not just turn your emergency lights on so people KNOW it’s an accident and don’t call the cops on you?
Yes, my fiancee shouldn’t have tried to tell her what to do. But I hardly think he’s the one with the rage issue. Did he try to hit her? Nope. Was he the one that put the car in reverse? Nope. Did he flip her off? Nope. Did he offer to call 911 for her? Yes. Did he try to do the cutting off/dodgy thing in traffic? Nope. He hardly has rage issues, but when someone is causing a hazard for EVERYONE, someone needs to do something. He flashed his lights once and got her plate number. I hardly think that’s having road rage.
