HID headlight problems? Help?

I got a kit for my grand am got them all hooked up and working but now my dash gauges don’t move and my clock keeps resetting. Everything is just tweaking and in my car and I don’t know why. Could it be that the lights are pulling to much current amd my alternator isn’t strong enough for the all the power the hid lights pull? Thanks..
