Is my unlocked Wii region free for original games?

I have a Wii and I unlocked it using the DC2Key chip in 2009 because I wanted to play games from Europe and Japan. Since then, I had the opportunity to play some pirated PAL games in it without problems, but never an original one.

Now, with the release of Last Story and Xenoblade in Europe, I was looking forward to buy these games original, but I don’t know if my Wii would run them. I mean, it plays pirated games, so, it should also play original ones, but I’m unsure. Does anyone know for sure?
